For nearly two years, I have been piecing together Miriam and John’s married life through a collection of short stories. Each corresponds to a special holiday such as Halloween or Valentine’s Day. Not only that, but other characters finally get their moment too.

All of those short stories existed in a collection called Several Glorious Months which is available to buy now!

However, this short story took me by surprise. I had not expected to write it and I genuinely think it is one of the sweetest and cosiest stories about my favourite pair.

The Phenakistiscope will not make the collection, so I thought it fitting to make it available for free on my website. I hope you enjoy below.
